How To Creat a New Application In Salesforce?

What is an Application:
                     An Application is a program designed to perform a specific functionality.

• Salesforce by default providing certain applications such as sales, call center, chatter, etc. these applications are called as standard applications.
• User can customize these applications depending on the requirement.
• In spite of customize an existing standard application developer can create their own application according to their requirement.

Follow The Below Simple Steps to Create a Custom Application.
Step: 1
After login to your Salesforce Account, Click application user Name àsetup àcreate àapps.

Step: 2

Then select a New Button. Here you need to specify the type of application that you wish to create.

• Custom Application
• Service Cloud Console Application

Step: 3
Then Enter the App Name that you wish to create in application label and the brief description of the application in description field.

      The application name field is automatically generated by the system depending on application label that you provide app name represent underscore ( _ ) for names like,

Ex: customer _service

5.       Then Optionally, specify a logo for this custom app. The file size of a custom app logo must be smaller than 20 KB. To upload an image file, add a new document to the Documents tab. 

6.       Choose the tabs to include in this custom app. Home tab automatically added. And you can arrange these tabs order. Then click next.

7.       In this step you can assign this custom application to the profiles. Those profiles can access your application. Then press save button.

8.      Now Your new custom application is Ready.
